Plants and Animals

The vegetation cover is dominated by species such as the Cork-oak and Pine-tree. Other Mediterranean species can be found, forming small woods wherever the water availability allows.

Concerning animal species, the most common species are the wild Board, the Fox, the Badger, and the Wild Cat. In the rivers we can find several species from the Cíprinidae Family, such as the Small Head Barbel ( Barbus microcephalus). The presence of the Lamprey (Petromyzon marinus) is also important.

Birds, migratory or not, are the most profuse group and they can be watched all over.
